Zack Snyder’s comeback will be explosive, to say the least, especially since he’s coming back out with a bang, and a zombie movie.

According to Film Daily, a multimedia platform for independent film and streaming content, Snyder will be having his comeback zombie flick in 2020 on Netflix. His previous experience has aptly shown that he has potential in helming another zombie movie, especially since he garnered recognition from making a remake of a popular movie under the same genre.

He’d already worked on “Dawn of the Dead” in 2004, and received acclaim and recognition because even though it was a remake of the 1978 horror film, “industry professionals saw the talent in Snyder’s work -- giving him the opportunity to expand his craft with more major projects.”

And with streaming on the rise, what could be a bigger project than one done alongside Netflix? His new comeback movie will be called “Army of the Dead” and will reportedly be a heist movie with zombies.

Many fans of his work know his prowess in superhero movies, but Snyder also says he is eager to try his hand at horror movies in hopes that he will be able to “refresh” his skills by tackling the genre. He plans to exercise his skills in “Army of the Dead” and there’s no doubt that this new movie will also be a treat to his many fans.

Though the script has been around since the early 2000s, it has been updated to “better suit contemporary politics and spirit,” which will also sit well with an audience and fanbase that values both Snyder’s earlier work and his recent work for superhero movies.

There are not many details as of yet and part of that is likely to keep the mystery alive so that it would become more satisfying once it’s released, although the first few things known about the movie is that the story will unravel in devastated Las Vegas, torn by a zombie plague.
