Dad’s Clever Nap Hack Goes Viral

For new parents, it can be really tough raising a child. With each child you raise comes newer challenges, and overall, parenting is not an easy feat even for parents who have been working on it with their growing kids.

Perhaps it is because of this heroic feat that people, especially parents, felt incredibly amused when one father’s nap hack went viral.

In a report by Today.com, an American news and talk morning television show, Mike Weber, after a 12-hour overnight shift as an operating room charge nurse, was dead tired when he came to work. Even then, he told his wife that he would be keeping the kids “so you can grocery shop in peace.”

Obviously, this was adorable, but it was even more adorable for Monica Weber, who went home to her four children sitting on the floor with sketch pads doing “realism art.”

Weber told Today.com that she already suspected something was up that day even before she got home:

“When I got back I called my son to help with the groceries and he begged me to be really quiet as I came in because they were doing ‘realism art.’ When I walked in, they were all sitting quietly drawing my husband asleep on the couch. When I asked what they were doing they said, ‘Dad promised a chocolate bar to the person who has the most complete drawing and said if we were loud and woke him up before everyone was done then he would move and we would have to start all over so please be quiet so he doesn’t wake up.”

The post caught the attention of so many people online, but it probably resonated more with the parents.

Weber herself knew this, which is why she also shared with Today.com how thrilled she was that so many people loved the funny moment she shared as she knows that parenting can be “lonely and overwhelming” sometimes.
