Two Adorable Dogs Go Viral for Being Polar Opposites on Camera

If you’re looking for a viral formula, just post a cute video of your pet doing completely random things. It sounds so easy but it’s just so foolproof, not to mention it has been proven time and time again—people love cute animals regardless of what they’re doing.

In a recent viral post, two dogs shared the spotlight in front of the camera, but only one of them obviously loved the attention. The other one…not so much.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, a British daily middle-market newspaper published in London in a tabloid format, a dog duo from Canada has taken over the internet. Their owner, Lauren Carter from Toronto, went on Twitter over the weekend to post some cute holiday photos of her two dogs, Opiee and Mika.

Both technically senior dogs, the two are obviously the light of Lauren’s life but people just couldn’t get enough of the stark difference in the dogs’ personalities. The tweet that went viral read:

“Took my dogs to take their yearly Christmas photos. It’s really hard when you have one super photogenic dog and one dog having an existential crisis.”

Attached to the post were the said Christmas photos, Opiee visibly serving face on the camera and Mika just sitting still and contemplating life. Opiee’s photogenic self has enamored so many people who viewed the post but most people found Mika’s “existential crisis” face more relatable.

The post quickly trended, of course, owing to the hilarious circumstance and reached thousands of retweets and likes in the span of a few days. As of late, it now boasts 175,000 retweets and 757,000 likes.

Because she did not expect a picture of her dogs to go viral that fast, Lauren also took to Twitter to talk about her pups, describing Opiee as the “happy one” and Mika as the one “contemplating why she puts up with this cr*p.” It’s all in good fun because the dogs are just as lovable even when they’re not photogenic.
