Star Wars fans have never had it so good! The last few months of 2019 have been a great time for SW diehards as the franchise has showered them with a lot of new content that is sure to exhilarate everyone. On December 20, fans will finally get to see the last movie in the Skywalker saga, “The Rise of Skywalker.” Video game players, on the other hand, can now get their hands on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the latest video game based on the SW universe that players can enjoy while waiting for the movie’s release.

The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a single-player action-adventure video game that was released on November 15, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Just like most of the other games from the Star Wars franchise, it has received a lot of positive reactions from avid players and “Star Wars” fans alike.

A Walk Through the Jedi: Fallen Order

In an article published online by Time Magazine, it was mentioned that this new video game was developed by Respawn Entertainment, the same team responsible for the Apex Legends and Titanfall series. It is a third-person action game where players control Cal Kestis, one of the last Jedi in the galaxy.

Players will be greeted by the familiar hum of the lightsaber, which sounds like it’s calling you to battle against the evil Stormtroopers. These villains will be equipped with blasters and stun batons. Fighting against them has a duel feel and it will take precise timing to kill them with the lightsaber. Killing enemies and exploring the worlds in Fallen Order will give experience points that can be used to unlock Force abilities such as new attacks and even increased health and Force meters.

Who Is Cal Kestis?

Cal Kestis is a young Padawan when Chancellor Palpatine gives Order 66 to the Grand Army of the Republic, which causes the destruction of the Jedi Order. He survives for five years living on a scrap planet before the Empire discovers him and sends its elite Purge Troopers to kill him. From there, he barely escapes and together with a rag-tag crew of misfits and outcasts, Kestis journeys across the galaxy fighting the Empire and trying to rebuild the Jedi Order.

According to IGN, an American video game and entertainment website, Cal has a meager life while he is hiding on the planet Bracca with his companion droid called BD-1. His story starts when he uses his Force powers to save a friend, which alerts the Empire and its Purge Troopers about his existence.

A Video Game Exploration

The game has an elaborate map, which is a three-dimensional hologram, essential in helping the player navigate through the game as it offers a view of many levels and paths. Polygon, an American video game website that publishes news, reviews, and videos, said that the map also has a wonderful feature that highlights paths and doors. Players can open green doors, and they can also find unexplored ones through yellow paths.

Because there are no straight paths through areas or between them, the player might find themselves twisting and climbing and doubling back constantly. But fortunately, there are no real dead ends, and there are also no permanent ones. Players will have to explore throughout the area to gather rewards. In almost every side of a room, there will be a reward that they have to pick up.

It will take hours before you find all the loot everywhere, but that is because there is only a limited number of chests and secrets to find in specific regions.

Be Cool on Customization

Every player knows that customizing your character to its optimal feature doesn’t mean that it will be stronger or faster. Sure, there are chests that offer amazing cosmetics, but it will not guarantee that your character will fight efficiently. There are some abilities that the player be unlocked as well as skill points that can be useful in the future.

However, there’s no chance that this ability will make your lightsaber more powerful. There is also no additional armor or stat bonuses. This is kind of feature makes this game more exciting in a way that it is kind of freeing for the player, where they get to decide whether or not they want to get for their character these amazing costumes that they get to purchase in the game.

There Will Be a Lot of Lightsaber Fights

“Star Wars Battlefront” has a lot of shooting fights since it allows players to assume any characters they wish. It is rare for them to use their lightsabers to fight their enemies. PC Gamer said in an article that Jedi: Fallen Order will be offering a lot of lightsaber battles. In a press release, the company called it a video game with “thoughtful combat” where the player gets to enjoy easy-to-learn gameplay.
