The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that happens every year serves lingerie looks from the best of the best angels in the business. Now, while the overwhelming majority of us will never have the kind of statuesque body that the models consistently rock on the runway, it is still a source of entertainment for some.

The best of the best of these models come out on top with a huge paycheck, but who are these models? Let’s find out.

Adriana Lima, $10.5 million (£8 million)

As the longest Victoria’s Secret model, Adriana Lima is also the highest-paid angel walking the runway. According to Express UK, she has been with Victoria’s Secret since 1999 and, after going down the runway for the first time at 18 years old, instantly became a sensation. Her contributions and experience with Victoria’s Secret moved so many people to tears when she announced that she finally wants to hang up her Victoria’s Secret wings for good.

She’s worth $10.5 million, but for the angels who have looked up to her during their own run with Victoria’s Secret, Lima’s retirement is bittersweet and priceless above all else.

Karlie Kloss, $8 million (£6.8 million)

Kendall Jenner was the second-highest-paid angel on the runway in 2017, but this year, Karlie Kloss takes the cake. British news source Express UK details how Kloss grew her net worth not only from modeling and walking the runway but also by appearing on Vogue covers for a grand total of 36 times. Outside of modeling, she also runs her own coding school, surprisingly steering clear from her modeling life and focusing on something that seems worlds away from her own path.

She has been walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since 2011.

Liu Wen, $7 million (£5.4 million)

Liu Wen is the first Chinese model to walk on the Victoria’s Secret Runway. It seems she has a pretty high net worth as well. Her net worth is $34 million (£27 million), and she has a big fanbase to match. Her followers have already reached up to 2.8 million.

In a corresponding article by Insider, 28-year-old Wen is “one of the only three non-white models” who have walked on the runway since 2016.

Candice Swanepoel, $6 million (£5.3 million)

Starting a year earlier than Kloss, Swanepoel first graced the Victoria’s Secret runway in 2010 though she began her career at a way younger age. Lima began at 13 years old in a modeling competition in Brazil, while Swanepoel began at age 15, already serving as a cover girl for both Vogue and other fashion brands like Tom Ford and Chanel.

After taking a break from modeling to spend time with her children, Swanepoel jumped right into the world of fashion, this time turning her artistic visions and experiences in modeling into bases for her new Tropic of C eco-friendly swimsuit brand, reports business news website Forbes.

Alessandra Ambrosio $5 million (£4 million)

One of the veterans, Ambrosio has been walking the runway since 2004. According to Forbes, her total net worth is a staggering $60 million (£47 million). Her popularity also extends to her Instagram account where she has 8.5 million followers.

According to business news site Business Insider, Ambrosio began humbly in the Brazilian city of Erechim. She began her career in 1993, when she enrolled herself in a modeling class.

Joan Smalls, $4.5 million (£3.5 million)

Puerto Rican Joan Smalls is now 28 and has been walking the runway since 2011, like Karlie Kloss. According to Insider’s report, Smalls was also the first Latina model and brand ambassador that Estée Lauder took as a spokesmodel. After that deal, she only became more well-known around the world.

Other than the VS runway, Smalls has also walked in five more runways. She is worth $16 million (£12 million), and has 2.2 followers on Instagram. In 2018, she was named eighth in Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest Paid Models list in 2018.

However, before she was able to reach this stage in her life, Smalls also graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Lily Aldridge, $4 million (£3.5 million)

Born in LA, Lily Alridge began her Victoria’s Secret debut in 2009 and has only continued to strut her stuff on the runways consistently over the years. When asked about her favorite places to visit, she says it’s usually her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

She may be a big city girl now, but her country roots remain with her. She has a total of 5.1 million followers on Instagram who follow her every move and project.

Jasmines Tookes, $4 million (£3 million)

Along with Liu Wen, Jasmines Tookes is another non-white model on the runway. She has also made it into Forbes highest-earner list in 2016. It was at 25 years old that she finally gained her wings on the runway around in 2015, though she’d been walking the runway since 2012.
