UPS Delivery Guy Grants Woman’s Request to Hide Packages in the Best Way

Despite all the stress of the hustle we all have in our lives, tender moments seep through the surface to make us laugh even in the darkest days, and a UPS delivery guy wanted to be that bright spot in Ebony Freeman’s life and follow her instructions for the delivery.

Amanda Harper, who was Freeman’s friend, bought a welcome mat for Freeman’s front door as a gift, not thinking twice about the hilarious message printed on the mat -- “Please Hide Packages From Husband.”

This is why it came as a surprise for both Harper and Freeman when they found that the UPS guy had read the instructions and actually followed. According to a report by lifestyle news website Insider, the first package that they saw the UPS guy had hidden was a roll of AstroTurf, which “stuck out from both sides of the rug.”

Freeman told Insider that they rarely used the front door but that when she came to get the package from the front door during the delivery of the AstroTurf, she “laughed out loud.”

When she posted about it on Facebook, originally tagging Harper, it caught the attention of many around the world who also thought it hilarious. So far, there are 49,000 shares of the post and counting.

Freeman told Insider, “I am shocked, like it’s just a rug, you know? I think it just gained attention because it’s a cute ordeal and we have so much negativity on the news and social media. It’s a breath of fresh air just seeing something fun like this.”

Freeman told Insider that she likes shopping online and probably has two to three packages coming in every day.

Freeman explained these items were usually “decor items, food items I can’t find in stores, shoes, accessories, pretty much everything.” Freeman’s husband said he had no problem with the frequency with which his wife bought things and had them delivered. Freeman is inclined to agree, saying that she trusts her husband to tell her when she’s gone too far.
