Hilarious Engagement Photo Fail Makes Many on Social Media Laugh

Alyssa Snodsmith and Collin Hewett are getting married, and they wanted to shoot an unforgettable engagement photo. They got so much more when the hilarious fail of their engagement shoot went viral on social media.

According to a report by BuzzFeed News, the news and current affairs arm of BuzzFeed, Snodsmith and Hewett went viral on social media after they posted bloopers of their engagement photoshoot on Twitter.

The story goes that the couple went to their photographer friend Chandler Lefever to help them with their engagement photoshoot. The inspiration? A couple on Pinterest celebrating with champagne. The picture had the girl in the foreground sitting with her head tilted back as her beau in the background poured champagne into her mouth.

The result, as can be expected, did not go well.

In their shoot, which Hewett posted on Twitter, the evidence is clear that it didn’t go as planned. The first shot was Snodsmith getting smothered in champagne and the second was her spitting it out.

It drew hilarious comments right away, as Twitter officially recorded that there are already some 40,000 people talking about it right now. One user commented that it was truly funny but also an indicator that the relationship they have is one worth keeping.

Most users wished them the best in their marriage while the married ones in the comment section also shared their own embarrassing photo fails until it became like a mini collection of derpy and sweet marriage moments.

Despite their apparent rise to Twitter popularity, Snodsmith and Hewett said they appreciate that people were able to connect with them even through that single photo. Snodsmith said, “People don’t know us and I think it’s cool that just by those two pictures, it kinda captures us.”
