Christian Mom Slams "Filthy" Potty Training Book, Book Becomes a Bestseller

Award-winning dad blogger and author of Little Budgie’s Done a Fudgie Simon Harris was stunned when Christian mom Marjorie slammed his potty training book for “brainwashing kids with filth,” reports James Hockaday of the UK’s highest-circulating newspaper Metro. According to Marjorie, Simon “should be ashamed of himself” and she requested a refund on Amazon after finding out that the word “fudgie” meant a sex act.

However, Simon states that “fudgie” is just another word for “poo.” “Fudgie” made his son Luke laugh when he had his potty training in 2017. Simon doesn’t care for the woman’s grievances, as his book soared to the top of Amazon’s bestseller list, bolstering its sales. In Marjorie’s complaint, she said that purchased the book for her Kindle, but then she noticed her older teenage son “giggling hysterically” while reading it to her daughter.

Marjorie explains, “I asked him what was so funny and he told me what ‘fudgie’ really means. It’s disgusting and you should be shamed of yourself. I Googled it afterwards and on Urban Dictionary and have attached a screenshot.” She notes the difficulty of raising “good Christian children” in the United States in 2019 and keeping them away from “filthy” content.

Simon used the opportunity to market his book by sharing it on his Facebook page "Men Behaving dadly." Thousands of users scrolled through the Amazon listing and his work is now the bestselling children’s book on potty training. Simon, who is also the father of Emma, 3, and 19-month-old James, wrote the book because he wanted Luke to master the potty. Children with autism experience difficulty using the potty. Hence, training them may take longer.

Simon asserts, “I’m a massive believer in taking nasty experiences and turning it into something positive. When I read the angry message I just laughed at it. Marjorie is from the US, possibly from the Bible Belt, and was angry because she was convinced that “fudgie” was referring to a disgusting sex act, which it isn’t.”
